Whether personal or business, I think we can all agree that when we are in control we are successful. As a mother of three, I know this first had as it relates to our family life. As a business owner, this is equally true. Although we can not control all that happens around us or to us, we are blessed with the opportunity to to control our attitudes and actions before and after ‘life’ happens. After Tuesday night’s unseasonable snow storm, which led to a power outage at our office most of yesterday, I am ready for spring! Playing catch up, I spent a good portion of last night reviewing the day’s emails – I was ready for a mental break. Just then, I stumbled across an email entitled “Spring Cleaning Inside and Out”. I suppose the fact that it referenced Spring Cleaning, or that it described your liver as a Janitor, or maybe the fact that I know the author grabbed my attention. Any which way, this article sparked my interest to read on. I was thinking cleaning inside and out of your house, however, this article adds a new perspective on cleaning – cleaning your body with at Spring Detox. ServiceMaster by Ayotte is hosting our 3rd Annual American Red Cross Community Blood Drive on Monday April 22^nd, 2013 from 1 – 6 p.m. at our office, located at 450 Armstrong Road, Northfield, MN.

We encourage all of our clients, associates and employees to consider the impact your donation can have. New this year – all presenting donors will receive a coupon for $50 off any service!!

Following are some important facts about the importance of donating blood:

Blood products are being distributed to hospitals as quickly as they are coming in. All blood types are currently needed to help maintain sufficient supplies. Eligible donors with O positive and negative, B negative and A negative blood types are encouraged to donate double red cells where available.
Type O negative blood, the universal blood type, is always in high demand because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations. Type O negative donors can make the difference between an adequate supply and a shortage.
Each year, nearly 5 million people need blood transfusions. Thanks to dedicated volunteer blood and platelet donors, the American Red Cross can support patients at approximately 3,000 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country as the single largest blood supplier in the United States.
