SMbA at the MN Horse & Hunt Club – Prior Lake, MN

It was Thursday March 1st, 2012 at 10:23 a.m. and the call came in as most losses do….”We have water everywhere…..I need your help NOW!”, proclaimed Terry Correll, General Manager at the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club.  There was some uniqueness to this call, however, as Terry is a personal friend Danny Ayotte (my business partner and father) and it was almost 9 years earlier that my husband, Hans Naumann, and I said “I Do” at this very same venue.

By 11:30 a.m., Danny and I were onsite to inspect the damage. A piece on their Fire Compression System gave way and 55,000 gallons of water poured into the basement of the club – the area where all storage, office and gun club check in is located – a hub for all avid hunters!  If it were not for the quick response of an exterior contractor and the endless work of the club’s staff, damage could have been worse.  But Terry knew who to call and with all of the staff’s help, our team at SMbA had the lower level mitigation underway within 2 hours of Terry’s initial call.  Although the circumstances were unique (the club stayed open during the entire mitigation and repairs process), the job could not have gone smoother.  But don’t take my word for it, here is what Terry and his staff had to say….

Blood Drive Fast Approaching – Northfield, MN

ServiceMaster by Ayotte’s Blood Drive is fast approaching.  If you haven’t already heard the news we are hosting our 2nd Annual American Red Cross Community Blood Drive on Tuesday April 24th, 2012 from 1 – 6 p.m. at our office, located at 450 Armstrong Road, Northfield, MN.

Following are some important facts about the importance of donating blood.  We encourage all of our clients, associates and employees to consider the impact your donation can have.

  • Blood products are being distributed to hospitals as quickly as they are coming in.  All blood types are currently needed to help maintain sufficient supplies.  Eligible donors with O positive and negative, B negative and A negative blood types are encouraged to donate double red cells where available.
  • Type O negative blood, the universal blood type, is always in high demand because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations.  Type O negative donors can make the difference between an adequate supply and a shortage.
  • Each year, nearly 5 million people need blood transfusions.  Thanks to dedicated volunteer blood and platelet donors, the American Red Cross can support patients at approximately 3,000 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country as the single largest blood supplier in the United States.

CE is back!

CE (Continuing Education) Classes are back.  In an effort to provide top-notch classes, ServiceMaster Distributor Operations in Rochester, MN is teaching a series of Mold CE for all local franchisees.  ServiceMaster by Ayotte Agents and Adjusters will have a choice of four different locations to choose from – Mankato, Minnetonka, Rochester and Eagan.  This class focuses on the science of mold and its effects on building materials and occupants.  You will see how mold grows and spreads and learn about procedures for removing it in a safe, effective manner.  This class is approved by the MN Commissioner of Commerce for 3 hours of insurance continuing education.

SMbA partners with PCA

ServiceMaster by Ayotte partners with Paradise Center for the Arts – Faribault, MN

 

ServiceMaster by Ayotte (SMbA) is now providing contract cleaning services for Paradise Center for the Arts (PCA). The cleaning agreement between SMbA and PCA began on January 26th, 2012, just before the opening of the Paradise Community Theatre’s production of Noises Off.  SMbA’s Vice President and General Manager, Beth Ayotte Naumann was thrilled to enter into this trade agreement with PCA’s Executive Director Ryan Heinritz.  “It is great to be able to work with Heinritz again”, noted Naumann after referencing Heinritz’s past employment with ServiceMaster by Ayotte as their Sales and Marketing Manager.

ServiceMaster by Ayotte is a locally owned and operated cleaning and restoration company specializing in water and fire restoration, residential carpet, upholstery and hard surface floor cleaning, commercial and janitorial cleaning, facility maintenance and restoration repair.  SMbA services south central Minnesota including: Northfield, Dundas, Faribault, Owatonna, Mankato and the surrounding communities.

Paradise Center for the Arts is a nonprofit art center located in Faribault, MN whose mission is to create a vivid and energetic cultural center for the community and region. Employee Spotlight – Eduardo Palermo

ServiceMaster by Ayotte is excited to introduce our Production Manager, Eduardo Palermo. Eduardo joins our team with extensive knowledge in Disaster Restoration. He is originally from Cartago, Costa Rica. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Master’s in Human Resources. While in Costa Rica he was a Marketing Manager for 10 years and a University Professor for 6 years before coming the the United States in April of 2000. He moved to Hilton Head South Carolina and after some management work with Burger King became an Operations Manager at a Disaster Restoration Company until 2007. He was involved in the Remediation Group (working mainly with Mold). Eduardo moved to Atlanta Georgia  and became the Operations Manager/Disaster Team Manager for that same company until October of 2010. While there, he worked in many different areas affected by disasters including Boston, Cleveland, Birmingham and Atlanta. He carries certifications for Water Damage Mitigation, Fire/Smoke/Odor, Mold Remediation and Lead Certifications. Eduardo moved to Minnesota to be closer to his wife’s family. He is happily married with 2 children. Welcome to the team Eduardo! We are blessed to have the opportunity to work and learn from you!
