ServiceMaster by Ayotte would like to thank everyone who came to donate blood at our 3rd Annual Blood Drive yesterday. The Red Cross does such an amazing job and we are always happy to host an event here.
A lot of lives were saved yesterday! We are grateful to be surrounded by such generous staff, clients, friends and family. Thank you again for making it a great event!

ServiceMaster by Ayotte Hosts 3rd Annual Blood Drive | Northfield, MN

ServiceMaster by Ayotte is hosting our 3rd Annual American Red Cross Community Blood Drive on Monday April 22nd, 2013 from 1 – 6 p.m. at our office, located at 450 Armstrong Road, Northfield, MN.
We encourage all of our clients, associates and employees to consider the impact your donation can have. New this year – all presenting donors will receive a coupon for $50 off any service!!
Following are some important facts about the importance of donating blood:
- Blood products are being distributed to hospitals as quickly as they are coming in. All blood types are currently needed to help maintain sufficient supplies. Eligible donors with O positive and negative, B negative and A negative blood types are encouraged to donate double red cells where available.
- Type O negative blood, the universal blood type, is always in high demand because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations. Type O negative donors can make the difference between an adequate supply and a shortage.
- Each year, nearly 5 million people need blood transfusions. Thanks to dedicated volunteer blood and platelet donors, the American Red Cross can support patients at approximately 3,000 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country as the single largest blood supplier in the United States.

The Power of Yellow – Hurricane Sandy

During the wake of Hurricane Sandy, ServiceMaster franchises around the country gathered equipment, employees and other disaster restoration supplies and headed east. In the past during catastrophic events, ServiceMaster by Ayotte has sent crew and equipment to help pick up the pieces for local residents. We were there for the Cedar Rapids flood and other flooded areas of Iowa and the Dakota’s. The Power of Yellow is one to consider during a disaster. If our area was suffering from a flood (like the flood in the fall of 2010) we can pull equipment and help from franchises around the country if needed to provide additional support and service to those in need.

God Bless our Veterans

Veterans Day is day that hits home for ServiceMaster by Ayotte (SMbA) and Deutsche Contracting, Inc (DCI). Hans Naumann, owner of DCI and husband to SMbA owner/general manager Beth Ayotte Naumann, is an active Army Reservist. He has served in the military for over 16 years and has faced three deployments – Bosnia, Iraq and Kuwait. Hans, along with so many other military men and woman give of themselves selflessly to serve our county. Together, they and their families should be recognized and honored for their dedication to country and honorable service. Although Veterans Day is just one day used to recognize the sacrifice our military makes, it is a day that should not go without much praise and appreciation.

ServiceMaster by Ayotte Honoring Fire Prevention Week

A primary division of work at ServiceMaster by Ayotte is Fire Restoration. Although our job is in the clean-up and repair of fire damage, we are very aware of the safety precautions needed to prevent fires from even occurring. This week we are honoring Fire Prevention Week. All week long we will be posting Fire Prevention Tips, distributing Fire Prevention Literature, and even playing a little Fire Prevention Trivia. We hope you have fun with this and are reminded of the importance of Fire Prevention both in your home and business. ServiceMaster by Ayotte is your partner in service and is proud to help you prevent a fire disaster!
This year, Fire Prevention Week is October 8-12th. Since 1922, Fire Prevention Week has been observed on the Sunday through Saturday period in which October 9th falls, and Fire Prevention Day (October 9th) dates back to 1911.
